Hope and a Future
Subtitle: Trusting God’s faithful plans
📖 Scripture
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
✨ Devotional
There are moments in life when the future feels uncertain, when plans fall apart, doors close, or the path ahead seems hidden. In those moments, God whispers through His Word: “I know the plans I have for you.”
This verse is not a vague promise, it is a declaration of God’s heart toward His people. His plans are not to harm us, but to prosper us. His desire is to give us hope when we feel hopeless, and a future when we cannot see beyond today.
Hope in God is not wishful thinking; it is confidence in His character. He is faithful, He is good, and He is sovereign over every detail of our lives. Even when we don’t understand the timing or the process, we can trust that His plans are unfolding with purpose.
So hold on to hope. Trust that the God who spoke creation into existence also speaks life into your future. He has not forgotten you, and His promises will be accomplished.
🙏 Prayer
Lord, thank You for knowing the plans You have for me.
Help me to trust Your timing and Your goodness, even when I cannot see the way forward.
Fill me with hope, and remind me that my future is secure in You.
Amen.
