A Light Has Dawned
Subtitle: Hope breaking through the darkness
Scripture
“The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” — Isaiah 9:2
Devotional
Darkness can feel overwhelming. It comes in many forms, fear, uncertainty, grief, or loneliness. In those moments, it can seem as though the night will never end. But Isaiah reminds us of a powerful truth: a great light has dawned.
This prophecy points to Jesus, the Light of the world. His coming shattered the silence of despair and brought hope where there was none. The dawn of His presence means that darkness does not have the final word.
For those who feel weighed down, this verse is a promise: God sees you. He has sent His light to guide, comfort, and restore. The light of Christ is not distant, it shines right where you are, even in the deepest valleys.
So lift your eyes. The dawn has come. Jesus is the light that breaks through every shadow, and His love will carry you into hope and joy.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for sending Your light into our darkness.
Remind us that no shadow is too deep for Your love to reach.
Fill our hearts with hope, and let us walk in the light of Christ today.
Amen.
